Sized to your yard, not a flat rate

Quick answers to the things Bay Area homeowners ask us most.

What services does Marin Landscaping offer in Menlo Park and the Bay Area?

We build paver patios, driveways, walkways and steps, fire pit areas, concrete driveways, concrete patios and walkways, and wood fences and gates. We're based in Menlo Park and work across the Bay Area.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. Estimates are free. Tell us what you want to build and we'll look at your yard and give you the numbers. Call or text (650) 334-6529, or send the form on this page.

Where do you work?

We're based in Menlo Park and take jobs across the Bay Area, including Menlo Park, Atherton, Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Redwood City, Woodside, Portola Valley, San Carlos, Belmont, San Mateo, Burlingame, Hillsborough, Mountain View, Los Altos, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Jose, Fremont, San Francisco and Oakland. Not sure about your address? Drop your ZIP code into the checker above, or call us.

How do I find a paver, concrete or fence contractor near me?

Look for a contractor based close to your home, ask for a free estimate, and compare how clearly each one explains the base, the materials and the timeline. Marin Landscaping is based in Menlo Park, works across the Bay Area and gives free estimates for pavers, concrete and fences.

How long do pavers last?

A paver patio or driveway can last for decades when the base is built right. The compacted rock under the pavers matters even more than the pavers themselves, which is why we spend our time on it.

Are pavers or poured concrete better for a driveway?

Neither is best for everyone. Pavers cost more up front, come in many styles and can be repaired one section at a time. Concrete usually costs less up front and takes little upkeep, but it can crack as the ground moves. We'll go over both with you at the free estimate.

Do I need a permit to build a fence?

It depends on your city and how tall the fence is. Many cities limit fence height, especially in front yards, and some require a permit above a certain height. We'll point out what to check for your address, and it's always worth confirming with your city's planning office.

How long does concrete take to cure before I can use it?

Most concrete can take foot traffic after a day or two and vehicles after about seven days, and it keeps getting stronger for weeks. Weather changes the timeline, so we'll tell you what to expect for your pour.

Can you fix sunken or shifted pavers?

Usually, yes. We lift the pavers, rebuild or add to the base, and set them again. Often only the sunken section needs work, not the whole patio or driveway.

What affects the cost of a paver, concrete or fence project?

Size, materials, how much prep your yard needs (digging, removal, drainage), access for equipment and your city's requirements. That's why we price after we've seen the yard, and why the estimate is free.

How do I get an estimate?
